**updated with a couple more pictures on March 5. Check out the lovely lady I've added at the bottom of the post**** Back in January I did my first boudoir marathon event, and it was AWESOME!!! I love the idea of boudoir, because the fun that all the girls that I photographed had while being confident and sexy in front of the camera was AMAZING! One of my favorite things about my job is the opportunity I get to make people feel good about themselves. There is nothing better than seeing my clients face after showing them an image that they love. An image that boosts their confidence because it is something showing them how beautiful they are, instead of all the advertisements in our society telling us that we aren't and how to fix it.
We had a super fun day shooting in a suite at the Hotel Alexis in downtown Seattle. I found a specific room through their website and requested it. I loved the walls, the windows, the floor, the EVERYTHING about this sweet! Each lady came and had a half hour with makeup artist Whitney Boot, who did a fabulous job and then an hour shoot in the suite. It was sooo much fun and I can't wait to do another marathon event!
Here are a selection of images from all the shoots we did that day. Thank you ladies! You know who you are, and thank you for letting me show some of these images up on my blog. It means a lot to me :)
Comments are welcome!
** added more pictures after getting the go ahead to post from Ms. J's session**
I absolutely love the series where I am looking through the door at her on the bed. I think it gives the image a really private feel. To note, she was laughing at me the entire time I was doing this, as I was shoved in the closet squeezed between the wall and the safe to get the right angle for the shot. Whatever you have to do for the shot right?
Thanks again ladies! It was a blast :)
