Michelle and Brian became husband and wife in August on one of the windiest days of the year. We skated by through the weather, dealing with the wind, thankful that the rain held off while we ventured through the city to come to the St. Ignatius Church at Seattle University and eventually to their reception at the Edgewater Hotel Seattle.
With pews full of friends they love, both tenuously held the tears back as Michelle walked down the aisle and took Brian's hand in hers. The rain held off as we all ventured to the Edgewater Hotel for their reception stopping for a quick couple of photos with the Puget Sound in the background, tying in one of their two favorite things. The water, and soccer.
For their reception, they clued in their guests to their favorite things with special touches of driftwood centerpieces they put together themselves from wood they found while taking walks along the beaches in the PNW to the Red Card and Yellow Card signature drinks and old photos of their 10 year old selves holding soccer balls on the doors of the rest room.
The excitement grew after the ceremony, with the main stress of the day done, and the party to commence. This wedding was put together by some of my favorites in the industry including Stephanie from Every Last Detail Wedding Planning coordinating lots of people moving all over the city in bad weather, and made it look easy. Which when working with girls getting ready happening in Mercer Island as well as boys in Newcastle, then ceremony on Capital Hill and a reception on the waterfront is no easy task, but Stephanie and Stacy didn't sweat it at all! Then there is Salon Maison making sure the ladies hair and makeup looked beautiful, held up to major wind and also was on time (which is amazing!!). Fena Flowers providing beautiful florals and Braden Landon who was MC and DJ keeping the dance floor hopping all night long! We couldn't have had a better crew for this beautiful wedding. And we can't forget the ever beautiful Edgewater Hotel Seattle for the beautiful ballroom with an incomparable view! Thanks as well to Laura Marchbanks for being an awesome second photographer!
Congrats Michelle and Brian!
