I have this goal. I plan on taking a “mini session” with Linc every month on the 11th until his first birthday which is April 11th. I want to see him and his personality shining through the photos from month to month to month and then make a big canvas of it and put it in his nursery. Or maybe just prints in his nursery… not quite decided yet.
I’ve been good so far and have gotten the 0 days, 1 month and 2 month photos… I’ve just been too busy to put the 2 month pics up here yet. But at least I have them right?

I’ve got to say, now that I have been back to work for about a month now, I am just now getting into an understanding of the balance between work and family. It’s been harder than I expected to drag myself away at the end of the day when Pete gets home to come in the office and work. I love spending all day with Linc, but it’s sad that I don’t get to spend a lot of time with Pete and Linc together. Then again, I have to keep myself from coming in and working during the day when Linc is taking naps (gotta do that laundry sometime right?)

So, I take care of my clients at the later hours now. Don’t be surprised if you get a response to emails at midnight, or you see a blog post go up at 1:50 am (which is what time it is as I write this…) as my new work hours are consistently 6:30pm- 2am .  Amazingly, this is my most productive time of the day, so it really does work out well. As long as I don’t see Linc and Pete cuddling in the other room that is…
But back to my original point here ( I guess 2am blog posts don’t keep me from randomly going off on a tangent any better than 2pm blog posts do) here are some pictures of Linc during our 2 month shoot on the 11th. He was just starting to smile consistantly and giggle a lot then and some of these are my first pictures of him laughing. It’s out of this world amazing to watch this little being develop!

These last two pictures are my all time favorites so far. The best part is the one on the right, Pete was actually irritated because I kept interrupting his show to take photos of him and Linc, and I had told him I was done and then kept shooting. But the look on both of their faces is soooo them that I <3 them 🙂
