This summer I got a fun call from Cari who lives in Hawaii. She and her husband were coming to Seattle to visit, and seeing that they had never been here before and it was around their first anniversary, they wanted to do a portrait session unlike one they could get in Hawaii. They wanted the feel of the city in their photos so they could remember their time here and I thought it was the coolest idea. We should all do portraits when out vacationing! We started at Pike Place right when it was shutting down for the evening, so we got to experience the market in an uncommon quiet hour which allowed us to get some awesome shots that would normally never be an option, then roaming Belltown and it's alley ways, just to make our way down to the waterfront and the new Seattle Great Wheel. It had only been running for a week at this point, and the line was looooong. It was perfect timing though because we were on the wheel during sunset and got to see the city in a new and beautiful way. The perfect end to a super fun and unique session!

we were trying for some fun pictures with the Market sign, when we were interupted by about 40 bicyclists coming through. Talk about a unique experience for a couple from a sleepy Hawaii town!
