I’ve photographed weddings all over the PNW. Here is a list of some of my favorites. Where the venue was great to work with (from the vendors perspective) and the wedding turned out great. The Hall at Fauntleroy is tucked in West Seattle in historic Fauntleroy Schoolhouse. Your ceremony can be out in the garden during the summer, or in the lower ballroom during the winter. It’s the perfect wet season wedding venue. The upstairs ballroom has character with exposed brick and beautiful large windows. This is a favorite for larger weddings as well as indoor weddings.

Within Sodo is a very fun venue in the Sodo district (just down the street from corporate Starbucks). Very industrial on the inside, it gives you the ability to make it your own, and the roof top is a more modern space great for either a smaller ceremony or cocktail hour. The roof top is a great spot for wedding photos as well, as the locations outside the venue leave a lot to be desired photo wise.

DeLille Cellars makes you feel like you are at a French Chateau. Amidst the Woodinville Wine district, DeLille Cellars has a beautiful pond and lawn for outdoor wedding ceremonies, as well as receptions in the beautiful chateau. This is a photographically diverse and beautiful venue where you don’t really need to bring in much decor as the venue is unique by itself.

The Skansonia is very PNW, as it is a retired WA state ferry turned event space. The Skansonia sits in the water on the North shore of Lake Union, with an outstanding view of downtown Seattle. Ceremonies in good weather are held on the bow and in wetter weather, ceremonies are held inside. The capacity is rated at 150, but I would personally suggest a smaller wedding of 100 or so because of the layout of the venue.

Jardin del Sol is a beautiful garden venue in Snohomish. The landscaping of the garden is organically beautiful and this is a space you don’t have to add much to. The ceremony looks out through the gardens and the reception area is tented.

The LUC is a unique venue in Seattle as it has a very vintage and speak easy type of feel to it. Guests sit in booths vs tables and the dance floor is in the middle and recessed (also where ceremonies happen). It's a venue you don't have to add a lot to as it has it's own charm but is also a harder venue to photograph as its innately dark and also covered in mirrors.
Hire a photographer who understands and can work within dark venues and uses lighting. Also a popular venue for those who don't want to have to get a ton of different vendors, as you get venue, cake, caterer and florist all through them.
